We offer fully-supported long weekend and long week adventures in the best wilderness locations around the world. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or new to the outdoors, we’re with you through every stage of the journey. Discovering new places, leaving a positive impact and making new friends while you’re at it.
There are solo travellers, couples, friends, mums and daughters. The mix of people from different backgrounds adds to the learning experience and provides an opportunity to network with 6-18 likeminded people who you might not otherwise cross trails with.
IGO Adventures was started by Bobby Melville in 2014 after he rowed across the Atlantic for 48 days straight in a tiny rowing boat with three friends. Add on the year of fundraising, training and preparation and Bobby knew he had to make the feeling of genuine adventure that he experienced, accessible to everyone. Especially to those who can’t disappear off-grid for months at a time.
He sought the help of George Bullard, who, with a couple of polar trips and a few world records under his belt, was deemed ambitious enough to start spreading the IGO mission. Together, they sourced the best team of eco-conscious guides, plotters, planners, educators and navigators that they could find to curate the IGO portfolio of trips.
From weekend trips just hours from London, to epic treks through Patagonian glaciers, IGO Adventures exists for anyone craving a break from the norm, helping them escape to somewhere beautiful in nature for a few days, getting some fresh air in their lungs and fire back in their body before landing back in civilisation – complete with new pals, awesome memories and, quite possibly, a new perspective on life.
The most dangerous part? Well, IGOs can be pretty addictive.
Whether it’s getting to know a different part of the world, pushing your body, or simply getting to know new people around the campfire –everyone gets something different out of an IGO.

Every IGO adventure is carefully designed around its location, working in partnership with the local people and charities to leave the area better than when we got there. Focusing on either a social or environmental cause, IGO believes in a tangible, hands-on approach to responsible travel so that in 5-10 years you can measure the direct impact you had.
IGO brings people from all walks of life together through shared achievement, a love of adventure and our natural world. Only by pushing yourself and stretching your elastic do you learn new things. And on the journey, we all support one another, have fun and build friendships that last way beyond your return home.
With the comforts and convenience of everyday life, how often do we really get to experience a touch of the unknown? We believe in more time outdoors in the wild and in touch with nature. Everyone is encouraged to switch off and enjoy a rare opportunity for a digital detox and moments of mindfulness.
We think Vincent Stanely sums it up pretty well…
"Wild began ten feet from the shore, in the power of the waves, or a mile or so from the roadhead on a mountain trail or angler’s path. You have to get away from “the hand of man,” as Margaret Murie put it, to shed the sense of protection you get from our social systems and relearn the sense of simple, sturdy self-reliance many of us last had as children. It is easier in the wild to feel awe in the presence of a force greater than ourselves, though hard to explain to someone who has never felt the power of the wild why it is so essential to life. Anyone who has felt that power has no quarrel with a deep, lively impulse to preserve it."
